Project Performance.
We are often approached by clients that are concerned with the performance of their project, scheduling has slipped, costs have risen and questions are not being answered leading to stress and confusion. Remember that your building project should be an exciting and positive life experience, if things do not feel that way, even if you’re not exactly sure why it’s always worth exploring why as early as possible to prevent small issues compounding into more serious issues or a dispute.
Disputes can arise at any stage of a building project, from the initial planning stages right through to completion. Construction disputes are common and often complex situations involving problems with communication, payments, delays to scheduling, quality of workmanship and scope variations.
The issues we are approached with week in and week out are varied and have increased significantly since the industry suffered through Covid 19, steep material price inflation, rises in energy and shipping costs and a shortage of skilled labour. We have also seen many more issues involving large projects and professional services, sometimes before any construction work has even started. Often many projects would have suffered far less had small concerns been addressed earlier.
